Ms Astrid Khoo

Head, Operations

Ms Astrid Khoo is the Head of Operations at the Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS), where she oversees the Centre’s operational strategy and ensures the efficient execution of its initiatives. With a strong background in public health, she brings extensive experience in health systems management, strategic planning, and operational leadership.

Prior to joining ACHS, Ms Khoo played a key role in establishing critical public health initiatives, including the National University Health System (NUHS) Regional Health System Planning Office and the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office at NCID. She also contributed to the development of the One Health AMR Research Programme (OHARP) and the Singapore Population Health Improvement Centre (SPHERiC). Through her work, she has been instrumental in strengthening health systems and developing sustainable responses to emerging biological threats.

At ACHS, Ms Khoo plays a pivotal role in streamlining operational workflows, overseeing the seamless implementation of various health security initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of research, policy, and capacity-building efforts, all contributing to the advancement of ACHS’s mission.
