A/Prof Marc Ho is the Lead for Pandemic Preparedness at the Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS), where he leads initiatives to enhance preparedness and response systems tailored to the specific needs of Asian countries and communities. In addition to his role at ACHS, A/Prof Ho serves as Director, Manpower Standards and Development, Ministry of Health Singapore, and Advisor, Policy and Systems, Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) Singapore. In the CDA, he helps shape public health policies and systems, including areas such as vaccinations, pandemic preparedness, disease surveillance, informatics, and analytics.
Previously, A/Prof Ho was seconded to the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme, where he contributed to urban health emergency preparedness and health system strengthening. Earlier in his career at Singapore’s Ministry of Health, he was instrumental in developing policies related to non-communicable disease prevention, health services, mental health, and public health intelligence. A/Prof Ho is committed to ensuring that evidence-based solutions are translated into effective policies and strong systems to safeguard populations during public health crises.
