CSCAP Study Group Meeting on Biosecurity and Health Security

Introduction

The Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies (NTS Centre) at S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), representing the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Singapore, convened the first CSCAP Study Group Meeting on Biosecurity and Health Security in partnership with the Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS).

Co-chaired by CSCAP Singapore, CSCAP New Zealand, and CSCAP Japan, the study group facilitated a constructive exchange of views on the diverse biosecurity and health security challenges facing the Asia-Pacific region.

Key findings and recommendations from the new RSIS baseline study on the emerging biosecurity landscape in Southeast Asia were also presented to gather expert insights on issues the Study Group could prioritise at future meetings.
